Supervisor promotions are determined by:
Variety of Activity (Academy, Subdivisions, Patrol)
Administrative Activity (Tickets)
Mentoring Patrol Units
Serving as a Positive Role Model
Promotions into command staff are determined by department heads based on the needs of the department as well as the merits displayed by the prospective supervisor.
Promotions into the heads team are determined by the Office of the Sheriff (01-05) and typically is the result of exemplary service within the command team either in a high command position (Captain) or especially great work in a Department Overwatch position.
